Gary,
Thanks for the info.  I'm somewhat chagrined to report that after 
further review of my code, my delegating object has a method named: 
"netServiceWillPublush" rather than "netServiceWillPublish" so that's 
why the delegate appeared not to work... (*sigh*)  I think
(in this case anyway) the NSApplication loop is unnecessary...

I'll polish up the code and resend when its (somewhat) stable for 
inclusion in the examples (and integration into portable-aserve)
