[Openmcl-devel] Using cocoa

Hullo from Greg Bennett who is trying to follow
htp://trac.clozure.com/ccl/wiki/CocoaBridge
after installing clozure under Windows (Vista).
I used svn (after installing it too) and my box churned away for
quite a while building things; stopped and seemed happy. My previous, and
current lisp system, is ACL from Franz.

At least, I thought I had installed clozure, but it seems that I may be
missing
at least one piece.

In the ccl directory I can execute wx86cl.exe and find a listener.
I have made no use of the wx86cl.image file, no knowing whether
it should be an argument to wx86cl, for example, or whether
it is automatically loaded by that file.

I can run make-simple-ms-window, both in the listener's thread
and in its own. Thus, I thought to learn how to do a bit more than
make an empty window - hence the CocoaBridge page.

When I try to execute (require "COCOA") I am told
Error: File ccl:cocotron;Foundation'.1'.0'.dll" does not exist.

Perhaps I did not manage to create all of clozure as I had thought;
perhaps I simply did not create enough of it to allow cocoa code to run.

Any and all assistance appreciated. In particular, pointers about how to
teach myself about (probably) simple things would be most useful.

Cheers /GregB
