Can the "New Ticket" page perhaps link to

  http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/WikiFormatting

Perhaps with some saying like

  "Note: For information about Wiki markup see WikiFormatting.
         E.g. for inserting code snippets in blockquote."

Seems like a common pitfall.
