You can download a demo version of MCL 5.1 (the last commercial  
version) from:

   http://www.digitool.com/download.html

MCL 5.1 has (unwisely) an old-school appearance out of the box. I  
recommend that you immediately update the look & feel by patching it  
with the Modern MCL contribution <http://www.in-progress.com/src/ 
modern-mcl.lisp> and the Fred Package Indicator <http://www.in- 
progress.com/src/fred-package-indicator.lisp>. A few additional  
improvements are listed on the Extensions item of the MCL 5.1 Tools  
menu.
