Arthur,

looks great. Minor compatibility "issues" ;-)

- return a pathname not a string to make it less platform specific
- consider some of the other keywords that MCL has:

(&key directory
                                     (button-string "Choose")
                                     (cancel-button-string "Cancel")
                                     (window-title "Choose a Folder")
                                     prompt
                                     window-position)
