As lisp programmers we're well aware that each form has its own requirements for syntactic correctness which is not enforced by the lisp reader per se. I think we're up to understanding the permissible syntax of a simple s-expression syntax intended to generate xml.

The point is that everyone who will be doing documentation for ClozureCL is a lisp programmer, not a middle school student with no prior experience with s-expressions.
