Hi -- I'm relatively new around these parts, but wish to offer up my
LDAP client library, trivial-ldap:

for inclusion if it's of interest.  A few caveats:

  - usocket and CL+SSL are required 

  - it is trivial: in a more robust implementation the ASN.1
  en/decoding would be a separate library, SASL would be implemented,
  and so on; still it's fine for many common use cases

  - I wrote it, so you have to watch out for boneheadedness.
