I found EasyGui a useful basis, and spent/wasted a lot of last year
adding
to what Ifound there. Using it, I have been able to move my own GUI code
from MCL to Clozure. It was far from easy, and there are still issues
with it
occasionally, but I attach a screenshot to show a sample of what I
have been
able to achieve with it. Note, this is in CCL1.3 still, I had non-gui
problems
moving to 1.4 and then blah blah excuses excuses ... and note that I
don't build an application but instead just use the Cocoa application
and
load my code on top of it ... and note there's a Goblin menu item,
that's mine.
Easygui provides a rough but travelable path from MCL. If you want to
port
code, I think it's the easiest option. If you want to develop from
scratch, there
probably are better options. I like the look of Alex's XMLisp, from
what I have
seen, if I were starting over I think that's what I'd use.
