I just built and checked in release candidate binaries for Clozure CL 1.6.

If you have the chance to try it out, please do. You can get it via Subversion in the usual way. For example, to get a version for Linux on x86, you'd type:

svn co http://svn.clozure.com/publicsvn/openmcl/release/1.6/linuxx86/ccl

You can replace the "linuxx86" with "linuxppc", "darwinppc", "darwinx86", "freebsdx86", "solarisx86", "windows", or "linuxarm". The checkout will include both 32- and 64-bit binaries (except for ARM, which is 32-bit only).

Disk images or tar archives of the release candidate binaries and sources are not available.

If you find a bug, please report it by creating a ticket on the Trac.

Any testing you can do is much appreciated.
