I think that high-dimensional spaces have the problem that they are vast (in particular, with a Euclidian metric the amount of stuff within d goes like d^n), but to go back to the original thing: I don't think Lisp makes this harder to solve than, say C: if it's hard then it's hard in any language.  I think that was all I meant to say, really.
