You stopped one step short, IMO.
I would have phrased it,
"Or we could use CCL to develop the platform that becomes the de
facto standard. We can develop on practically any machine and deploy
on practically any machine via virtual machines."
Virtual machines are now mainstream (in business), they run fast
enough and, for the most part, can run on top of the client's current
hardware investment.
