But in fact it actually is the way I build the image sorry.  I'd never been able to get any variant of

	ccl -n -e "(require :cocoa-application)"
or

	echo "(require :cocoa-application)" | ccl -n

to work, until recently I noticed that the second variant was now working.  Except, actually it was not.  I've now reverted to my "run ccl -n and type at it" to dump the image, and that does work.
