I did not use DEF-LOAD-POINTERS in the code, but I can say that the variables
are assigned in a function that LOADs the fasls, immediately following
by a SAVE-APPLICATION.  S, I do not know whether CCL uses
DEF-LOAD-POINTERS internally to perform the assignments.
