[Openmcl-devel] sporadic application failures

i have opened a ticket on github to collect logs regarding application failures:

the issue includes numerous crash reports.
if someone were to recognize a pattern, that would be helpful.
the only this i see is the prevalence of the function "ensure_safe_for_string_operations" in the reports for the cases where the application hung.
