Lisp dialects have been used for the development of all kinds<br>of software, from embedded systems to extremely large systems, and the<br>Lisp DNA can be found in all modern programming languages.<br><br>The Journal of Universal Computer Science is publishing a special<br>issue dedicated to "Lisp - Research and Experience" and invites high<br>quality papers about novel research results, insights and lessons<br>learned from practical applications, and educational perspectives, all<br>involving Lisp dialects, including Common Lisp, Scheme, Emacs Lisp,<br>AutoLisp, ISLISP, Dylan, Clojure, and so on.<br><br>All papers will be peer reviewed and will be selected on the basis of<br>their quality and relevance to the theme of this special issue.<br>Authors whose papers have been accepted and presented at the European<br>Lisp Symposium (ELS) 2009 are also invited to submit extended versions<br>of their papers to this special issue. The extended version must have<br>at least 30% new material and a different title. In addition to ELS<br>2009 extended papers, the special issue will also consider for<br>publication all submissions that are original and are not submitted,<br>in any form, at any other forum. Papers on practical as well as on<br>theoretical topics and problems are invited.
