I quickly realized what I did but then I mused that it was only because 
I have gone through the bootstrapping process many, many times.

If level-1.dfsl doesn't exist when you run ./dppccl ppc-boot.image, 
maybe it could tack on "Please be sure you have run (compile-ccl) to 
build the system sources." to the current error message, or something. 
It's just a thought.
