You could always look to see if there is information on porting ccl to freebsd/ppc on some sbcl mailing list ...
The hardest parts likely have to do with differences in signal handling and signal contexts. There is a fair amount of code in the ccl kernel that needs to know about this stuff in detail and there's also some lisp code that does. I'd guess that most other code that's already conditionalized for freebsd wouldn't need to change much if at all.
